Dr. Barry Laurent has retired — Welcome Dr. Julia Lokitis! Same-day care: (703) 893-1603

Our Team

The people you will see at every visit

Our office is small on purpose. The same few people greet you, seat you and treat you, and two of them have been caring for this community since 1999. Consistency is part of how we practice: you are known here, and you do not have to explain your history again each time you come in.

Since joining the practice in December 2021, Michelle has been a familiar, friendly face for everyone who walks through our doors. Beyond her role at the office, Michelle is passionate about staying active, whether she's working out or spending time with family and friends. Patty Pinto, RDH, dental hygienist at Northern Virginia Dental Solutions

Originally from Elmira, New York, Patty earned her dental hygiene degree from Broome Community College and is known for her gentle touch, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Her calm, caring approach helps patients feel comfortable while receiving exceptional preventive care.

One of Patty’s favorite aspects of being a dental hygienist is educating patients about home care and empowering them to take an active role in their oral health. She believes that understanding the “why” behind good oral hygiene helps patients build lifelong healthy habits. Committed to providing the highest standard of care, Patty regularly attends continuing education courses and conferences to stay current on the latest advancements in dental hygiene, including laser technology, innovative treatment techniques, and oral cancer screening.

Patty speaks English and conversational Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse range of patients. Outside the office, Patty enjoys reading fiction, walking, bowling, and spending quality time with her granddaughter. She also has a love for travel and enjoys exploring new places, experiencing different cultures, and creating meaningful memories along the way. She is especially looking forward to her upcoming adventure to Bolivia.

Why a small team matters

A practice this size does not have a rotating roster of people you have never met. The person who takes your call is the person who checks your insurance; the assistant who seats you is the one who has seen your last three visits. That continuity is the point. It is also why our approach is built on quality care and genuine connections, and on a welcoming space where patients feel like family and their health is the priority.

Between them, Nadia and Azeb have looked after patients in this office since 1999 — through a change of ownership and a change of name. If you were a patient of Dr. Barry Laurent, you will recognize nearly everyone here.
