Our Story

Welcome to Northern Virginia Dental Solutions! Established in 2024, our practice was born from Dr. Julia Lokitis’s vision of creating a dental office rooted in quality care and genuine connections. Dr. Lokitis, a local dentist with over 15 years of experience across Northern Virginia and Maryland, wanted a place to call her own—a welcoming space where patients feel like family and their health is the priority. After years of working in Alexandria, Arlington, Bethesda, and Fairfax, she found that the close-knit Vienna community was the perfect fit to “hang out her shingle” and grow a practice with heart.

Over the summer, Dr. Lokitis had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Barry Laurent, the former owner of this office, and the connection was immediate. They quickly discovered their shared philosophy in dentistry: focusing on each patient’s well-being, both in terms of oral health and overall comfort. Dr. Laurent’s commitment to a warm, personalized approach to care resonated deeply with Dr. Lokitis, who strives to make every visit a positive experience.

At the heart of Northern Virginia Dental Solutions is our dedicated team. Azeb and Nadia, our exceptional dental assistants, have been a part of this office for 25 years—a true testament to their unwavering dedication and the welcoming atmosphere here. They treat each patient like family and are highly skilled in all aspects of dentistry, from routine procedures to advanced care. Our team continually participates in professional development, staying current on advanced dental technologies, patient advocacy, anti-discrimination practices, and medical emergency readiness.
